When the nut is mounted on a bolt, the bolt''s thread deforms the nylon insert, creating increased friction in the threaded pair. When installed using a press (without impact), the mounting part of the nut is fully sunk into the sheet material from the reverse side. The deformed metal flows into the annular groove on the sleeve, providing reliable fixation of the sleeve in the metal.
